Hudson Valley city investigating three heroin deaths in six days

MIDDLETOWN – In the course of six days this month, three people died of drug overdoses in the City of Middletown.

City Police on Tuesday said from October 11 through October 16, three unattended death cases were investigated, all believed to be from drug overdoses.

Police have linked heroin to the deaths of all three people. All three either died shortly after ingesting the drug or were found with empty packaging and paraphernalia near their body, police said.

In the one case where packaging and paraphernalia was found, the heroin was stamped “Transformers.”
