HUNTINGTON STATION - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Second Squad Detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the individual responsible for a hit-and-run that killed a male victim in Huntington Station. On September 3, 2012 at 10:36 p.m., the driver of a black Nissan Pathfinder struck a male victim in front of the 7-Eleven located at Jericho Turnpike and Thorney Avenue. The victim, who was walking in the westbound lane of Jericho Turnpike, was dragged 500 feet before being dislodged from the vehicle in front of the Whitman Motor Lodge located at 295 East Jericho Turnpike, Huntington Station. The Pathfinder, which detectives believe is a 1998-2004 model, was last seen traveling westbound on Jericho Turnpike. The vehicle may have lower front-end damage that may extend to the hood and windshield. |
