Cop arrested for allegedly talking sex with undercover “15-year-old” female
WHITE PLAINS – A New Rochelle police officer is charged with attempted dissemination of indecent material to a minor as a felony.
Matthew Melillo, 31, of New Rochelle allegedly engaged an undercover investigator from the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office in a series of online chats where the undercover made it clear that “she” was a 15-year-old girl.
During the time the chats occurred, in August, Melillo allegedly discussed various specific sexual acts in which he would engage with the “girl” and sent a video claiming to be of himself in a sexual situation as he was chatting with the undercover investigator online.
Melillo was arrested on Tuesday. Bail was set at $1,000
