Upstate man faces child sex charges
VERNON - A Vernon Center man was arrested on September 10 after an investigation into a sexual assault.
Glenn Wallis Jr, 27, was arrested by State Police for 2 felony counts of rape in the 3rd degree and 2 felony counts of criminal sex act in the 3rd degree. Wallis was arraigned in the Town of Vernon Court and SENT to the Oneida County jail in lieu of $30,000 cash/bail.
This investigation is continuing. Police ask that anyone who has information relevant to Wallis and this investigation call the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center at 315-732-3990.
The case has been turned over to the Oneida County District Attorney's Office for grand jury action. The victim has been offered counseling through the Child Advocacy Center.
