AMBOY - members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Department, West Amboy Fire Department and Williamstown Fire Department responded to a fatal motor vehicle accident on County Route 17 in the Town of Amboy, shortly after midnight Sunday morning. 

Kenneth Birmingham, 35, of 185 Birmingham Dr. Camden, was operating a pickup northbound on County Route 17, negotiated a curve, lost control crossing into the south lane, drove off the west shoulder and struck a tree.  The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The investigation is ongoing.
