Apparent homicide in Hempstead
HEMPSTEAD - Detectives are investigating a homicide occurring in Hempstead on September 8, at 1:07 am.
The body Jose Valleja, 24, with no known address, was discovered inside Kennedy Park, located at 335 Greenwich Street in Hempstead.
Valleja sustained severe trauma to the neck and head area causing fatal wounds. The deceased was transported to the Nassau County Medical Examiners Morgue to determine exact cause of death. There is no further information at this time and further details will be released when available.
Police ask anyone with information regarding this crime to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
