LI man arrested for multiple burglaries

MEDFORD - Suffolk County Police arrested a man for allegedly burglarizing several homes in Medford since late August.

Conor Douglas was arrested by officers from the Fifth Precinct Gang Section and Fifth Squad Neighborhood Enforcement/Special Operations Team (NE-SOT) detectives who responded to Peconic Avenue shortly after Douglas attempted to enter a home on the street. Douglas had also burglarized two homes on Long Island Avenue earlier this morning.

Douglas was arrested without incident on Peconic Avenue Friday morning and found to have proceeds of the two burglaries in his possession.

Further investigation by Fifth Squad detectives linked Douglas with two home burglaries on Jamaica Avenue on August 28, and another home burglary on Peconic Avenue on September 3. There were no injuries in any of the burglaries.

Douglas, 24, of 328 Peconic Avenue, Medford, was charged with four counts of burglary 2nd degree, and two counts of attempted burglary 2nd degree.
