Registered sex offender arrested for inappropriate contact with two girls

WEST BABYLON - Suffolk County Police arrested a registered sex offender for endangering the welfare of a child after he kissed two girls at a party in West Babylon last month.

Two female victims, ages 10 and 11, reported to police that Dennis inappropriately kissed them multiple times at a party in July in West Babylon. Following an investigation by officers from the First Precinct Crime Section and the Special Victims Section, Victor Dennis was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of failure to register as a sex offender.

During the investigation, it was revealed Dennis, currently homeless, had moved from his registered address and failed to report the change. Dennis is required to register as a sex offender after being convicted of sexually abusing a 6-year-old girl in 1995.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about Dennis to call the First Precinct Crime Section at 631-852-8126 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
