YAPHANK - Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was found at a recycling company in Yaphank this morning.

Police were called to Eastern Resources Recycling, located at 88 Old Dock Road, after employees discovered a body among refuse at 6:55 a.m.  The body and refuse had just been discarded at the facility by a garbage truck.  The body is an adult man but has not been positively identified.

The remains have been taken to the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office where an autopsy will be performed.
