Long Island bank robbed

WESTBURY – Police are investigating a bank robbery which occurred on Friday, June 01, 2012 at 5:00 P.M. in Westbury.

A black male in his late 20’s, 5’ 8” with a thin build wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, a dark tie and a New York Yankees baseball hat entered the TD Bank located at 6060 Brush Hollow Road.  He approached a teller and demanded cash.  The teller complied and the suspect fled southbound through the parking lot on Brush Hollow Road with an undetermined amount of assorted U.S. currency.  Nine employees and one patron were in the bank at the time of the incident.  No injuries were reported.

Detectives ask anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.  All callers will remain anonymous.
