Bicyclist killed in crash
BELLPORT - Suffolk County Police are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a bicyclist in Bellport Sunday morning.
Felicia Ruperto was riding her bicycle south on Station Road, when she was struck by a van also traveling south, driven by an Astoria man at 7:42 a.m. Ruperto was ejected from the bicycle and landed on the front lawn of 614 Station Road.
Ruperto, 52, of 12, Apple Lane, Medford, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this crash to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
