Prison for third DWI conviction |

ALBANY - A man with three DWI convictions was sentenced to 1 2/3 to 5 years in State Prison for felony DWI in Albany County Court. Jeremy Cannaday, 33, of Cohoes, also faces license revocation, mandatory Ignition Interlock Device for 3 years upon release from custody, $1,520 in fines and surcharges. Cannaday previously pleaded guilty to (1) Count of Driving While Intoxicated as a felony. On May 10, 2012 Cannaday was operating a vehicle and attempting to exit the ramp on Route 378E to Route 32S in Cohoes. He failed to navigate the turn and drove onto the grassy area at the bottom of the ramp, continued to drive through the median and adjoining street, and ultimately crashed into a fence and utility pole. He failed multiple field sobriety tests and was found to have a blood alcohol content of .23%. This is Cannaday’s third alcohol related conviction. The prior two convictions were outside of Albany County.
