NEWBURGH – Police in Newburgh had to Taser a man, who was walking naked down the middle of Washington Street on Monday night. Jamar Walker, 24, of Newburgh, was observed walking backwards toward a 47-year-old man’s car. The driver honked the horn to warn the man, who turned around and pounded on the hood of his car with his fists, causing several dents.

The driver got out of his car and tried to restrain the man until police arrived and officers had to Taser him to place him under arrest. The arresting officers indicated Walker displayed behavior consistent with the use of PCP.

Walker was charged with felony criminal mischief and misdemeanor resisting arrest.
