Portion of Route 20A to honor Wyoming County vets

ALBANY - Assemblyman Dan Burling (R,C-Warsaw) joined with Senator Pat Gallivan (R,C,I- 59) to sponsor and pass a bill honoring the veterans of Western New York by renaming a portion of Route 20A, running from State Route 98 to State Route 246, as the “Wyoming County Veterans Memorial Highway.” This bill was signed into law by Governor Cuomo on July 3.

"As a Vietnam Veteran and member of the Assembly Veterans' Affairs Committee, I am proud of this important designation that will recognize the many servicemen and women who have faithfully and honorably fought for our country and protected our freedom”, said Burling.  “I am pleased to have worked with Senator Pat Gallivan on this permanent memorial for our veterans and thank Governor Cuomo for signing this legislation into law so quickly,".

“Wyoming County has a rich history of residents serving the United States at home and abroad. This legislation is a tribute to their selfless contributions during past and current struggles, and one small way of expressing special thanks to Wyoming County veterans for their courage, patriotism and unfailing spirit,” said Burling.
