NYC man charged with robbing Hudson Valley bank  

HUDSON – A parolee with ties to the City of Hudson and New York City was arrested Friday and charged with robbing the Bank of America branch at 561 Warren Street on Thursday afternoon.

City detectives and patrol members arrested Francisco Fernandez, 54, of Queens, who has family in Hudson, and charged him with felony robbery.

Fernandez allegedly walked into the bank around 12:30 p.m., handed a teller a note demanding money.   No weapon was displayed and none was threatened. No one was injured.

None of the proceeds of the robbery were recovered. The investigation is continuing.

Fernandez was arraigned and remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail.
