Teen says he was attacked, robbed by mob

NEW CASSEL – Nassau County police are investigating a robbery that occurred in New Cassel around midnight on Saturday, June 30.

According to detectives, a 17-year-old male victim had just left a block party and was walking on Prospect Avenue when an unknown male black subject struck him from behind. A group of 10 to 15 unknown male black subjects then began to punch and kick the victim. The subjects removed a watch and chain from the victim and fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

There is no further description of the subjects.

The victim was removed to a local hospital where he was treated for a laceration above his right eye and abrasions to the body.
