SCHUYLERVILLE - State Police at Saratoga investigated a fatal shooting incident that occurred at a Church Street address in the Village of Schuylerville.

Responding Troopers assisted by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department secured the residence at 82-1 Church Street and located Matthew Furlani, 28, deceased of a gunshot wound. A large caliber rifle was secured at the scene.

Investigation resulted in the arrest of Furlani’s live-in girlfriend, Joey Paul, 28, on Murder 2nd charges for the death of Furlani.  Paul was arraigned in front of the Town of Saratoga Judge David Mathis and committed to the Saratoga County jail without bail.
