ONEIDA – A Cato, NY man has been charged after assaulting a Police Officer from the Oneida Indian Nation at the Turning Stone Casino.  Ronald C. Smith Jr. 28, of Cato, NY was charged after an incident at Turning Stone Casino that occurred on Saturday at about 11:15PM. 

During the incident at the Casino, Smith intentionally head-butted the Nation Police Officer in the face injuring him.  The police officer was transported to Oneida Hospital where he was treated and released. 

Smith was arraigned in the Town of Floyd Court on the charge of assault in the second degree, a felony, and sent to Oneida County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.
