Man Robs West Babylon Bank |

WEST BABYLON - Suffolk County Police detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred today at the Suffolk Federal Credit Union Bank branch in West Babylon. A man entered the bank, located at 50-108 Route 109, at 2:30 p.m. and handed a teller a note announcing a robbery and demanding cash. The teller complied and gave the man cash from the drawer. The man fled on foot and headed south through the parking lot. The robber was described as a white, in his late 20s, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a medium build, brown hair, blue eyes and was unshaven. He was wearing a white tank top, dark-colored shorts, dark-colored sneakers, white socks and a black baseball cap with a New York Yankees logo on the front. Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential. |
