Juvenile held for trying to stab cop
SODUS - State Police report the arrest of a 14-year-old male for attempted aggravated assault of a police or peace officer.
Last Sunday evening, a trooper was dispatched to an address in the village of Sodus for a suicidal 14-year-old. The trooper determined that the 14-year-old needed to be transported to the hospital for a mental evaluation. The teen took a knife that he had been concealing and struck the trooper in the chest. The trooper was wearing a vest so was uninjured.
The 14-year-old was sent to Strong Memorial Hospital for a mental health evaluation.
