NEW ROCHELLE – A emale librarian at New Rochelle High School has been arrested and charged with felony disseminating indecent material to minors in the first degree.

New Rochelle Police said Marisa Anton, 33,of Yonkers is alleged to have been sending a 16-year-old male student e-mails and other computer communications of explicitly sexual content in an effort to have sex with him.

The boy reported it to the police on May 27, police investigated and arrested Anton when she showed up at the youth’s residence in an apparent attempt to have a sexual encounter.

As a result of her arrest, Anton has been suspended from the school district until further notice. Anton, who has worked in the school district since September 1, 2008, had no prior criminal record and passed all background checks in compliance with state law, Superintendent Richard said Thursday.

“As with all matters concerning our students, we take these allegations very seriously and are deeply concerned about the nature of the charges that have been made against one of our employees,” Organisciak said. “The district will, of course, continue to give full cooperation to law enforcement authorities.”
