Argument leads to stabbing in Nassau County

NEW CASSEL - Police are investigating an assault that occurred shortly after 4 Monday morning in New Cassel.

According to detectives, a 31 year old male victim was arguing with three male Hispanics (no further description) on Union Avenue, when one of the subjects stabbed the victim in the stomach and back.  The three subjects fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction. 

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
