Two rolling road blocks scheduled near Interchange 34A today

SYRACUSE - Two brief "rolling road blocks" will take place in both directions of the Thruway (I-90) near Interchange 34A (Syracuse, Route 481) for overhead utility work Tuesday, May 15, the New York State Thruway Authority announced.

The rolling road blocks are scheduled to occur between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., weather permitting. The event could cause delays of up to 15 minutes. In the event of poor weather, the work will take place Wednesday, May 16.

Electronic message signs will be in place to alert motorists of any delays. The Highway Advisory Radio (1620 AM) will broadcast information.

As with any change in traffic pattern, motorists are encouraged to remain alert and aware of their surroundings while traveling through the area.

The Thruway Authority appreciates motorists' patience during this project.
