Man stabbed to death in Yonkers

YONKERS – Police in Yonkers are investigating the second homicide in the city this year.

Early Sunday morning, a dispute escalated resulting in three men being stabbed, one fatally. The dead man was a 21-year-old local resident. A family member, a 27-year-old man, was stabbed in the arm end sustained several contusions. A third man, who is 23, sustained a stab wound to his leg.

Police said a dispute erupted around 5 a.m. in the area of 13 Park Hill Avenue resulting in a physical confrontation. The homicide victim and one family member were assaulted by the group with which they argued.

The suspects fled the scene and when police learned there could be another victim, they went to an apartment on Linden Street and found the third man there.

Members of the Detective Division, including the Gang Unit, are investigating the extent of gang involvement in the assault and homicide.
