Special Senate, Assembly elections set for March 20

ALBANY – Brooklyn voters head to the polls on March 20 to pick a successor to resigned State Senator Carl Kruger.  The Democrat resigned in December after pleading guilty to corruption charges.

The district is heavily Democratic, but both parties are expected to field candidates.

Special elections will also take place in three Hudson Valley districts, and one in Buffalo.

March 20 coincides with village election day in much of New York State.
