“Extraordinary session” anything but

ALBANY – An ‘extraordinary session’ of the state legislature, called by Gov. David Paterson to resolve the overdue budget, ended almost as soon as it began.   The session was gaveled to a close almost as soon as it began, after nine senators did not show, and there were no agreements on what they would do.

Paterson has threatened to keep calling legislators back to Albany, daily, until they come to an agreement on a state budget, now 15 weeks late.
