Fatal shooting victim is identified
WEST BABYLON – Suffolk County Police Tuesday identified the victim of a shooting in West Babylon on Monday evening as George Arndt, 50, of Patchogue. Police said Arndt forced his way into the home of Kenneth Messemer, 51, an acquaintance of Arndt’s ex-wife, Lisa Guzzardi-Arndt, 48, and threatened to kill him.
An arrest has not been made at this time. The police and the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office are continuing the investigation.
