MASTIC BEACH – An East Patchogue man is dead after his van slammed into the rear of another vehicle, which in turn, hit a third.  Jose Gonzales, 32, died after being taken to a local hospital.

Police say Gonzales’ van hit one school bus, that was stopped in traffic, pushing that bus into another school bus.  Neither bus had students.  The driver of both buses were treated for minor injuries.

The investigation continues.
