Home invasion robbery
PORT JEFFERSON STATION – Police are investigating an armed burglary at an occupied apartment early Wednesday morning. Police say the burglary appears to be targeted, not a random act.
Three masked men entered a garage apartment at 19 Beach Ave., in Port Jefferson Station, shortly before 2 a.m. The men, armed with handguns, confronted the tenant, his girlfriend and a friend, and demanded cash. They fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
There were no injuries.
