Pilot injured in light plane crash

Mount Morris -  A small airplane crashed off Begole Road near Ridge Road in the Town of Mt. Morris, Sunday afternoon.    The plane went down about a half-mile from the Mt. Morris airport.

The pilot, Morris A. (Red) Kennedy was transported to the University of Rochester Medical Center for what appears to be non-life threatening injuries.  Troopers said that Kennedy was alert and conscious when they arrived at the scene within minutes of the crash.

Why the plane went down is unknown.

Investigators from the F.A.A. are on scene.
