One dead in two car crash in Southern Tier

LISLE – State Police at Binghamton and Whitney Point are investigating a two car fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred at about 4:10 p.m. Wednesday on State Route 79 in the Town of Lisle in Broome County.

Investigation revealed that an SUV driven by Jack Flint, 54, of Cincinnatus, was in the westbound lane of State Route 79 with the left turn signal on preparing to turn left (south) into the natural spring parking area, when a pickup driven by Travis Sessions, 21, of Lisle, who was also traveling westbound on State 79, struck the rear of the SUV, causing that vehicle to overturn.

Flint was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy is scheduled.  The investigation is continuing.
