Motorcyclist seriously hurt in crash with apparent drunk driver

SUFFOLK COUNTY – Police charged a Babylon man for driving while intoxicated after he was involved in a crash that caused serious injury to a motorcycle operator, early Saturday morning.

Sean Dolan, 46, was driving south on Straight Path in West Babylon, when he attempted a left turn onto 14th street and collided with a northbound motorcycle operated by Joseph Kuefner, 46, also of West Babylon.

Kuefner was transported to a hospital with serious head trauma and internal injuries.

Dolan refused a breath test.  He was subsequently arrested for DWI and was held for arraignment.
