Surveillance camera leads to burglary arrest
GRAND ISLAND – Police say a Grand Island homeowner, who had been the victim of an earlier burglary, installed cameras on the outside of her home. That paid off. When her home was broken into, again, on Wednesday, the cameras captured the incident.
After reviewing the tape with police, an identification was made.
Police went to the Bedell Road home of Albert Cannata, 33, and arrested him. Cannata is charged with second degree burglary and is in the Erie County Holding Center in lieu of $10,000 bail.
