HAUPPAUGUE - Suffolk District Attorney Thomas Spota Thursday said a pair of Long Island men convicted last month of committing five home invasion burglaries in Brookhaven Town have been sentenced to 50 years in prison. Cal Daniels, 21, of Ridge and Thomas Walker, 22, of Coram were convicted of committing burglaries at 7 East Margin Road in Ridge, 15 Montauk Highway in East Moriches, 15 Third Street in Coram and 6 Cardiff Run in Mount Sinai in June of 2007. The jury also found Walker guilty of striking a female burglary victim with a hammer during the burglary of her East Moriches home on June 16, 2007. Walker was arrested for the crimes in Waterbury Connecticut during a fugitive sweep by the US Marshal's Regional Fugitive Task Force. |
