Chautauqua County Executive continues community conversations

MAYVILLE – Talking with Chautauqua County residents in an informal and comfortable setting is a priority for County Executive Gregory Edwards, and so he has visited a number of coffee shops and restaurants around the county over the past several months.

Edwards looks to continue his travels across Chautauqua County, and calls his "Community Conversations" a huge success so far.

"My first trip took me to my hometown of Panama, where I sat down and had breakfast with residents at the Rowdy Rooster. Since that time, I have visited over a dozen restaurants and coffee shops in Chautauqua County, and I look to perpetuate this valuable effort."

Edwards said he began this grassroots effort of getting out to the local restaurants and eateries so that he could sit down with Chautauqua County residents to answer their questions and to hear their concerns.

Details on when and where Edwards will go to next will be released prior to his visit. He is urging his constituents to come and raise any issue that they feel needs to be discussed or resolved.

"Having the chance to talk to the people of Chautauqua County without any pressure or formal restrictions will hopefully open up channels of communication that aren't normally available," Edwards said.
