Fatal accident near Buffalo

BUFFALO – Sate Police Monday investigated a fatal tractor-trailer crash on Walden Avenue ramps in Buffalo.  The accident occurred around 12:45 p.m. on the I-90 westbound at exit 52 (Walden Avenue). 

The vehicle involved was a tractor trailer that drifted off the left shoulder, across the grass and crossed the ramp from Walden Avenue westbound t I-90 westbound which circles the Thruway Buffalo Maintenance building and came to rest on its side in the ditch between the ramp and the employee parking lot. 

The driver is suspected of having a possible heart attack which precipitated the sequence of events.

Crete Motor Carriers out of Lincoln, Nebraska owned the 2005 Freightliner which was hauling industrial lawn mowers.

The driver was Bryan Hudson, 50, of Springtown, TX. He was transported to St. Joseph Hospital via Rural Metro Ambulance where he was pronounced.
