BUTLER - The New York State Police in Wolcott are investigating a two-car fatal accident Sunday at approximately 5:40 p.m. on SR-89 in the Town of Butler in Wayne County.

Timothy Lagana, 43, from Phelps was killed while he was parked in a driveway when a vehicle traveling southbound crossed over into the northbound lane and left the roadway striking Lagana's vehicle on the driver’s side door.

Lagana was pronounced dead at the scene, and a passenger in his vehicle was air lifted to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.

The two occupants in the second vehicle were injured and taken to area hospitals with injuries.
