Drive-by shooting in Delaware County

MASONVILLE – State Police are investigating a drive-by shooting on Tuesday morning at an occupied house at 11616 State Route 8 in Masonville.

At about 4 a.m., the occupants of the residence contacted Delaware County 911 Emergency Center reporting that an unknown vehicle entered their driveway and the person fired several rounds from a firearm into their residence. The gunshots entered through a bedroom wall of the residence where two adults were sleeping. The residence was also occupied by several children at the time of the shooting although no injuries were reported.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone who has information concerning this incident is asked to contact the New York State Police, Troop “C” Headquarters, Sidney, New York at 607-561-7400.
