Oswego County Sheriff’s Office daily report

On 1/6/09 at 1:06 p.m., a 17 year old male residing in the Town of Scriba was arrested for Criminal Mischief, a class A misdemeanor stemming from the investigation into a mailbox complaint made by a Town of Scriba residence in which their mailbox had reportedly been destroyed.  He was released on an appearance ticket, returnable to Town of Scriba Court on 1/22/09.  This case is still under investigation.

On  1/8/09 at 10:36 a.m.,  David R. Tuzinski, 42, of 386 Gifford Rd., Hannibal, NY was arrested based on a Family Court Warrant charging him with Violation Article IV of the Family Court Act (failure to pay support).  Mr. Tuzinski was arraigned in the Town of Scriba Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $4000.00 cash or $8000.00 bond.   He is scheduled to answer the charge on 1/9/09 before the Oswego County Family Court.

On 1/8/09, Scott M. Newman, 29, of 55 East 5th , Oswego, NY was arrested at 4:05 p.m. for Assault, 3rd degree, a class A misdemeanor stemming from the investigation into a domestic which reportedly occurred at a Town of Minetto residence in which he allegedly hit an individual in the face multiple times.  Mr. Newman was released on an appearance ticket, returnable to the Town of Minetto Court on 1/15/09.

On 1/8/09 at 10:05 p.m., Richard A. Caltagirone, 33, of 212 Cogswell Ave., Solvay, NY was arrested at the Syracuse Public Safety Building on a Felony Bench Warrant issued by the Oswego County Probation Department.  Mr. Caltagirone was transported to the Oswego County Correctional Facility with a return to Oswego County Court date of 1/9/09.

On 1/8/09 at 4:07 p.m., Cheryl L. Pittsley, 31, of 58 Maiden Lane Rd., Lot 5, Oswego, NY was operating a 1995 Jeep east bound on CR 4 when another vehicle reportedly pulled out in front of her from Garden Dr. and in an attempt to pass the vehicle she sped up to pass and lost control causing her vehicle to leave the roadway on the south side.  Ms. Pittsley was transported by ambulance to A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital.
