WEST BABYLON – The Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad is investigating the circumstance surrounding the death of a West Babylon man who was working on his car when it fell on him Wednesday night.

Edward Stromski, 52, was replacing the transmission on his vehicle at about 9:30 p.m. when the vehicle fell off the floor jack and pinned him on the ground.

Responding personnel and neighbors lifed the vehicle off him. Stromski was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
