Bank robbed on Long Island

BLUE POINT – Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred on Friday afternoon in Shirley.

A man walked into the Capital One Bank branch at 60 Montauk Highway and handed a teller a note demanding cash. The teller handed him cash from the drawer and the robber fled.

He was described as a white male, 35 to 40 years of age, five feet, nine inches tall to five feet, 10 inches tall, with a medium build and light brown hair.

He was wearing a blue and white bandana on his head, a light blue t-shirt, blue jeans and black sunglasses.
