Three shot, two dead in Bohemia

BOHEMIA – Suffolk County Police are investigating the shooting death of two people at a Bohemia office building on Friday.

Police were called to the Aflac Insurance office at 1650 Sycamore Avenue in Bohemia shortly after 1 p.m. after a 911 caller stated there had been shots fire.

When police arrived, they found Tiana Stokley, 20, of Mastic Beach dead from multiple gunshot wounds. Her ex-boyfriend, William Lynch, 37, of Bellport, was also dead. A third person, Gary Destefano, had also been shot.

An investigation has determined that Lynch shot Destefano several times when he attempted to aid Stokley. Lynch also shot Stokely before turning the gun on himself.

Lynch was wanted by police since Monday for violating an order of protection held by Stokley.

Destefano was airlifted to an area hospital for treatment.
