Long Island man electrocuted while repairing an appliance

WYANDANCH – The Suffolk County Police Department is investigating the electrocution of a Copiague man in Wyandanch on Wednesday night.

Jose Murillo, 48, of 305 Caboto Avenue went to a friend’s house at 221 State Avenue where he was electrocuted while attempting to fix a broken microwave.

He was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead about an hour after the 9:45 p.m. incident.

The medical examiner’s office ruled the death the result of electrocution.
