Oswego County Sheriff’s Office daily report

On 5/13/08, Raymond P. Gomes, 18, of 120 Liberty St., Oswego, NY was arrested at 11:40 a.m. at the Oswego County Correctional Facility, where he was a resident,  for Grand Larceny, 4th degree, a class E felony after the investigation into a larceny complaint of a firearm which reportedly occurred at a T/O Granby residence.  Mr. Gomes was arraigned in Oswego County Court and remanded back to the jail in lieu of $5,000.00 cash or $10,000.00 bail bond.  He is to return to the T/O Granby Court on 5/19/08.

On 5/13/08 at 5:40 p.m., Gordon B. Smith, 46, of PO Box 10, New Haven, NY was arrested for Criminal Mischief, 3rd degree after the investigation into a harassment complaint which reportedly occurred in the T/O New Haven.  Mr. Smith was issued an appearance ticket, returnable to the T/O New Haven on 5/22/08.

On 5/13/08 at 10:34 p.m., Randy J. Wright, 24, of 9431 Lakeshore View Dr., Bridgeport, NY was operating a 1993 Ford pick-up westbound on Main St. in the Village of Mexico when the vehicle reportedly struck a north guardrail of the bridge over Little Salmon River, then crossed the road and struck an unoccupied house at 3243 Main St., breaking the gas meter.  Fire personnel evacuated immediate area and the gas pipe was sealed off by National Grid.  Mr. Wright was taken by ambulance to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.  Alcohol and speed not prudent appear to have been contributing factors.
