Man pleads guilty to RICO charges

SYRACUSE -  Federal authorities announced Monday that Andre Robinson, also known as Dre Dre, Team, 32, of Syracuse, was sentenced Monday in Northern District of New York in Syracuse to 10 years and eight months in prison and five years of supervised release. He had pled guilty to federal RICO charges relating to his involvement in a criminal organization known as the Brighton Brigade Gang.

As part of his plea, Robinson admitted to conspiring to engage in a pattern of racketeering activity through his membership in the Brighton Brigade Gang.  The gang operated within the City of Syracuse from at least 1994 through the present and engaged in a pattern of racketeering activity, including multiple acts of drug trafficking, attempted murder, robbery and witness tampering.

All 14 co-defendants in this case have entered guilty.  Most of them have already been sentenced.
