Two shot at Wyandanch party

WYANDANCH – Two men were shot in front of 40 Henry Street in Wyandanch Saturday night, Suffolk County Police said.

A party was being held at that address when two men, who were attending the party, were shot in the street in front of the house.

Whangson Numa, 31, of 12 Henry Street was hit with a single shot in his back in the area of his right shoulder. Malcome Cater, 16, heard a shot and felt a sharp pain in the back of his left leg. He ran from the party and collapses in the rear yard of 18 Olivia Street.

Both men were taken to an area hospital and treated for their non-life threatening wounds.

No witnesses have come forward and there is no description of the shooter.
