Guilty plea in federal drug case |

ALBANY - United States Attorney Glenn Suddaby announced that Shaheem White, also known as "Double S", 22, of Albany pled guilty in United States District Court in Albany to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and distribute cocaine base (crack cocaine) relating to the criminal activities of the Jungle Junkies gang, which operated within the City of Albany. In his plea agreement, White, the 23rd defendant to plead guilty, admitted that at some point during the time period of 1999, and continuing thereafter up to October 12, 2006, he was a member of a criminal organization in Albany, known as the "Jungle Junkies," participated in the affairs of the gang, and conspired with others to possess with intent to distribute and distribute cocaine base (crack cocaine) within the Northern District of New York. White engaged in narcotics distribution activities at various times during the course of the conspiracy, including possessing with intent to distribute and distributing cocaine base (crack cocaine) on June 9, 2004, at 36 Judson Street in Albany, and on March 22, 2005, at 194 Second Street in Albany. White’s involvement in the narcotics conspiracy involved the possession with intent to distribute and distribution of marijuana and of more than 35 but less than 50 grams of cocaine base (crack cocaine). |
