Man shot in arm while crossing Long Island street

File may take time to start streaming on slower Internet connections

NORTH BABYLONG – Suffolk County Police are investigating the circumstances of a shooting in north Babylon, where a man was shot while crossing the street.

Joel Foster of West Babylon was crossing Straight Path at Fulton Street in North Babylon at 9:30 p.m. on March 20 when an unknown man fired several shots at him. One large caliber bullet struck him in his right arm. He then ran home where his father drove him to a hospital and personnel there called police.

Foster was treated and released. His assailant was described as a black male, about 25 years old, six feet tall with a medium building. He was wearing all black clothes at the time.
