Youth party at lumber mill ends with underage drinking arrests

File may take time to start streaming on slower Internet connections

French Creek – Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested several teenagers for drinking under the legal age of 21.

Police were called to a lumber mill around 10 p.m. on December 22 to a 911 call on Cherry Hill road in the Town of French Creek.

Apparently one of several underage Amish youths had dialed 911 while they were having an underage drinking party at the mill.

Several Amish youths from New York, Ohio, and Pennsylvania were observed by police with alcoholic beverages and were ticketed for possession of alcohol by a person under 21 years of age.

They were all given appearance tickets to Town of French Creek Court.
