Oswego -- Representatives from many area labor unions will attend the Oswego County Workforce NY trade union forum Thursday, Nov. 1, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Oswego County BOCES, county Route 64, Mexico. The event will provide job seekers an opportunity to ask questions and learn about what labor unions look for when recruiting new employees.

Representing area labor unions will be Tom Davitt of Asbestos Workers Local 30; Martin Dillon, Bricklayers Local 2; Gary Toth, Carpenters Local 747; Pete Dulcich, Electrical Workers Local 43; John Clark, Ironworkers Local 60; Chuck Rinoldo, Millwrights Local 1163; Terry Hogle, Operating Engineers Local 545; Dave Goodness, Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 73; Ron Haney, Roofers Local 195; and Martin Gay, Sheet Metal Workers Local 58.

“If you’re looking for employment, or know someone who is, this is a great opportunity to learn about what local trade unions look for when hiring, and what kind of jobs are available,” said Judy McManus, senior employment specialist with the Oswego County Division of Employment and Training. “I encourage all interested residents to come and learn about the recruiting process.”
